Dr.Scott Stewart

Dr. Scott Stewart graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry (with distinction)in 1996. Prior to studying dentistry he attained his Bachelor of Science (physiology). Upon graduation from dental school Dr. Stewart was recognized by the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and societies for periodontics and pediatric dentistry for his scholastic excellence.

Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Stewart has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.  Dr. Stewart currently serves as the Chair for the Inquiry Committee for the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia.

Dr Stewart’s wife, Sandra is a Registered Occupational Therapist (BSc.O.T.) and they have two children, Shae and Dane.

Dr.Randy Koniuk

Dr.Koniuk, was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He grew up there until completing his University BSc and DMD degrees. In the summer of 1991, he and his wife moved to Vancouver to take a Hospital Dental residency program. Upon completion, they moved to the Cowichan Valley to start his Dental career.

Dr.Koniuk has been practicing family dentistry in Duncan since 1992. He and his wife have two daughters, born in 1993 and 1996. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a keen interest in oral surgery related procedures.

Dr.Koniuk also enjoys continuing education courses to stay current and expand his ability to provide dental services for his patients. Dr.Koniuk and his wife enjoy hiking, golfing, gardening in the summer, and curling in the winter.

Dr.Rachelle Young

Dr. Rachelle Young was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley. She completed her Bachelor of Science with honors specializing in Physiology at the University of Western Ontario. She returned to the west coast to obtain her degree in Dentistry at the University of British Columbia.

Upon completion, Dr. Young moved back to the Cowichan Valley to start her dental career. She enjoys working with patients to discuss their needs and concerns. She believes patients should feel comfortable and understand what treatment is being recommended and why, before their treatment is started.

When she is not busy working, Dr. Young loves to spend time outdoors. She is an avid snowboarder, loves running and hiking. She attends the gym when possible and has completed some 5k races and a ½ marathon!
